Chechil Smoked Cheese Sticks

I consider Chechil to be the perfect beer snack and while I almost never pick favorites, this had to be my favorite beer pairing of the year.

I ferried Chechil to a food blogger party, along with a six-pack of Eastern European beers. Light and sweetly yeasty, these flavors offset the salty, smoky taste of the cheese. An Armenian expat friend who sampled Chechil called it “authentic,” and within a half hour two braids

We enjoyed this cheese during our trip to Kazakhstan, and have been looking for it in the US for years. For those that don’t know, the best way to eat this cheese is to pull the braids apart into very thin strips. The combination of the smoked flavor & saltiness is what makes this cheese a real treat — especially enjoyable when eaten with a nice cold beer!!

I’ve been buying braids by the pounds and introducing people to it. Going to a party in 2 weeks and decided to take the plunge and just buy 10 lbs. It’ll be gone by Thanksgiving…

We received ours yesterday, and sampled it last night and we were blown away. Smoky, salty, chewy, fantastic. I’m snacking on some as I watch some college football. It is a good day.

Got my package today in Michigan. My son in law, daughter, and wife thought it was amazing. I am glad this cheese is made in America and I cannot wait to share this beer snack with my friends.

I just received my Chechil today and I’m literally snacking on it as I type. This stuff is the real deal! Smokey, salty, savory and delicious! Upon opening the package you immediately notice the wonderful smokey aroma, then you unravel the braid and allow it to dry out a bit. Then string it out as much as you want! I love this stuff and definitely will be buying more of this in the future. So glad you guys ventured out to bringing this to the states. I wish you much success with this product and look forward to it becoming a household name!
