Chechil is an all-natural smoked, salty, braided string-cheese snack handmade from pasteurized cow milk. Especially popular in Europe, Russia, and Central Asian countries with origins in Armenia, Chechil Cheese is also enjoyed by beer drinkers and cheese enthusiasts across the globe. We are the first and only Chechil manufacturer in the US that deliver fresh batches of Chechil to all of our customers and retailers.
The taste is salty, chewy, and smoked with a hint of Hickory Woodchips. When un-braided and peeled, individual pieces of string-cheese can be enjoyed with a favorite beer, wine, or by itself. The shelf life of Chechil is 3 months (1 year if frozen) with each vacuum sealed piece weighing 8 oz. We strive to deliver the freshest experience possible by using only the finest cheese ingredients and absolutely no preservatives. Enjoy!

Our Story
During our visits to Russia, Europe, and the Central Asian Region, we had the pleasure to enjoy Chechil Beer Cheese in all local bars and restaurants. Once we tried it, we could not get enough of it! When we came back to the US, we realized we could not find this amazing beer snack anywhere! In 2013 we launched our company and traveled to Europe to specifically learn about this cheese.
We visited many production plants to learn the process of making Chechil, and also acquired the secret recipe so we can share this delicacy right here in the US. The process of making Chechil differs from any other kind of cheese, this is what makes it so special and unique. Today, our 10,000 square facility in Upstate New York is producing our version of the famous snack.

I just received my Chechil today and I’m literally snacking on it as I type. This stuff is the real deal! Smokey, salty, savory and delicious! Upon opening the package you immediately notice the wonderful smokey aroma, then you unravel the braid and allow it to dry out a bit. Then string it out as much as you want! I love this stuff and definitely will be buying more of this in the future. So glad you guys ventured out to bringing this to the states.
