Top 5 Wheat Beers Ever

Lately we have been getting a lot of questions about which wheat beer is better paired for our Chechil Beer Snack, so our team got together and compiled a list of our favorite Top 5 Wheat Beers to pair with Chechil Cheese. We went out and tried over 15 different wheat beers and this is what we came up with:

5. Franziskaner Hefe-Weissbier (Munich, Germany)

Franziskaner’s history began in 1363 making it the oldest privately owned brewery in Munich. The modern company was founded in 1841. We thought that the color of the beer is an artfully crafted golden brown that is deep in color and very cloudy. This Weisse beer is slightly sweet and has a hint of heaviness. You can smell the aroma of citrus, wheat, oranges and spices. This is a delightful beer that Chechil fans will definitely enjoy anytime.

4. Paulaner Hefe-Weizen (Munich, Germany)
Another one great one is the Pauliner Hefe-Weissbier. This beer is naturally cloudy and has a very unique character. The scent is very caramelized and you can smell the aroma of an orange peel. Specifically cultivated, top-fermented yeast give it its unmistakable character of sparklingly mild and fruity with a delicate yeast flavor. We really enjoyed it and although it was not one of our top favorites to enjoy with Chechil cheese it was still very tasteful.

3. Schneider-Weisse (Kelheim, Germany)
This beer was actually originally a brewer for the Hofbrauhaus in Germany, but later the founder George Schneider went out on his own and founded the company that is still operated by the Schneider Family. The beer itself is darker than your average wheat beer and has a slightly spicy flavor to it. We thought it went well with Chechil and the salty cheese added to the flavor of the beer even more.

2. Erdinger Weissbier (Erding, Germany)
One of our all-time favorite beers to drink, Erdinger is our go-to beer for all Chechil related events and parties. It is brewed with fine yeast after a delivered prescription and naturally strictly after the Bavarian purity Law of 1516. Erdinger Weissbier uses only the finest wheat, barley, and malt together with selected hops and crystal clear water to produce one of the world’s finest and most refreshing wheat beers of all time. Chechil and Erdinger are a perfect match for everyday drinking and snacking, you can’t go wrong here.

1. Weihenstephaner Hefe-Weissbier (Freising, Germany)
This legendary beer wins the gold medal as the top wheat beer to have with Chechil. First of all, Weihenstephan is the oldest brewery in the world dating back to 1040! The brewery combines a long history and tradition and uses craft to produce high-quality premium brews. This full bodied golden-yellow wheat beer has an aroma of cloves and refreshing banana flavor. It has a strong wheat taste and is one of the best tasting wheat beers in the world. It pairs perfectly with Chechil Cheese and pretty much anything else. We love it and think that Chechil has found it’s best friend with this beer.
